Video playback error for all videos persistent...

App requires one login with TV provider then proceeds to require entry of everything from name to gender to birthday and more. My active Cable provider account should serve as sufficient credentials to access what I already get on my TV with a mobile device.

Hey Showtime- dont make me download this app just so I can activate my Apple TV. Literally ever other one of your competitors dont require that. I should be able to do it from Safari on my phone like every other service.

Wont let me log in. Says my username and password dont match. Ive check it a few times already and its the correct ones. What a POS app.

They force you to download the app in order to authorize your Apple TV showtime app. Then after you do that the app also forces you to create an account specifically with showtime. All of it is pointless. I gave up. Im a subscriber and I wont go through this trouble for their marketing efforts and for them to share my identity and info. Terrible!

I cannot accept terms of service on app on my iPhone 6s because the msg I get says theres a problem with the server. Idk what that means or how to fix it.

Every time I try logging in I get a page saying "bad request"... please fix ASAP!

Showtime forced me to download this app in order to sign into Showtime Anytime on Roku. There is no way to sign in from their mobile webpage.

Blackmailed into downloading the app to reactivate my showtime on my Apple TV. Should not need to download an app to do this when every other channel app can be activated through the website. Also, my showtime was already previously activated and suddenly in forced into downloading an app to get back in. Such BS.

No idea what happened to this app, but it used to be great. Now every time I stream something to Chromecast, it will play for a few minutes and then buffer and buffer. Sometimes it will start playing again for a few minutes and then start buffering again. This is no way to watch Tv. Its so annoying, we had to stop a show midway through the episode because it was impossible to watch. The regular Showtime app, for people just paying for that subscription and not cable, seems to have much better reviews, but why Showtime has two different apps for the same thing, I simply dont understand. And why one seems to be much better than the other. Come on, Showtime, fix this already. We cant all just sit in front of the TV every time an episode airs. We want to be able to watch it on our own time!

Showtime appears to be brainless when it comes to creating an app that works.

Unable to connect to the Internet error since last app update. I am writing this few on the iPad that supposedly cannot connect to the Internet.

Worst time to crash just as Im away from my tv watching Sunday night shows it stops working and cant connect to the internet

The app just says it cant find an Internet connection and to try again. I have an Internet connection. Give me shows.

This app, both on iPhone/iPad and Roku, is the WORST. Constantly spinning the wheel of death or logging out. Its not even working at all now.

HOW DO I CANCEL THIS MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION? THIS DOSENT WORK ANYMORE!!!

Just downloaded the app since the Apple TV version of this app isnt working tonight. And this app wont even open. It spins and spins and says there is no internet while all other apps are fine.

There are regular service outages - it happens a few times a month, for several hours each time. Seems to happen when new episodes are released. HBO, Netflix and other media apps dont have this problem. Showtime does try to communicate with customer via their Twitter support account, so you will want to keep an eye on that account.

Used to work. Today? Wont work on Apple TV. Also tried on phone and iPad where I just got an error message stating that it cant connect to the Internet (despite the fact that the Internet works just fine - can stream from Netflix for example).
